Bandits Attack Kaduna Community, Kidnap a Nurse, Housewife and Her children

Armed bandits have reportedly attacked Kaduna village, popularly known as Danhonu 2, and kidnapped several residents yet to be fully accounted for, barely 3 days after releasing Kurmin Wali, who kidnapped church worshippers.

An eyewitness account, however, alleged that the bandit attack was happening for the tenth time in the village located around Millennium City, Chikun LGA, of the state, where a photojournalist was recently kidnapped.

SpaceTimes online media reported that the bandits are gaining more control over the small village, as residents are fleeing the area to places where they feel safer.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, February 9th, 2026, when bandits stormed the village in large numbers, armed with weapons, and kidnapped a housewife and a nurse who ran a medicine shop in the area with her children, and forcefully took them into the forest where they operate.

“Another family, a husband who is an IT engineer, his wife, a tertiary school teacher who owns a private school in the area, and their children were among those kidnapped this Monday morning,” it reported.

“Another resident of the area who doesn’t want his name in print said he escaped the attack by luck, as the hoodlums went to his house but missed him.

“Many of the residents who spoke to this reporter said many people have started packing away from the village because of fear, as the Uba Sani government has abandoned them to their fate.

“Since the year 204, the Danhonu 2 village has not known peace, and the situation has turned the area close to the main road into a ghost place.”

“The government should show interest in these developments, as the criminals are becoming uncontrollable and are only waiting for any slight opportunities to attack other areas surrounding the Danhonu 2 village,” a leader in the village said.

“In the early morning yesterday, the whole village’s residents moved to the nearest Divisional Police office, where they lodged their protest.
