Bauchi Receives Medical Equipment from US-Based Organization

The Bauchi State Government has received hospital and medical equipment worth millions of US dollars from World Medical Relief, a USA-based health organization.

The donation includes patient care, nutrition treatment, electronic beds, wheelchairs, and delivery components.

The state commissioner for health, Dr. Sani Mohammed Dambam, while receiving the items on behalf of the Bauchi state government, expressed gratitude, saying the equipment would boost the state’s health sector.

According to him, the Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, facilitated the donation during a visit to the organization last year.

He explained that five containers are expected, with one having arrived and others en route from Lagos.

The commissioner said the equipment would be distributed to state specialist hospitals, general hospitals, and primary healthcare centers.

Dambam assured that the equipment won’t be stored, saying, “They are for use, not for storing.”

He mentioned that the donation complements the government’s efforts to renovate and equip health facilities across the state.
