FCT APC Stakeholders United, Ready To Deliver Tinubu In 2027

The National Vice Chairman, North Central, All Progressives Congress, APC, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, has said the party’s stakeholders in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, are united to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the 2027 general election.

Rijau stated this while addressing journalists after a meeting with APC stakeholders in the FCT at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by the minister of special duties and inter-governmental affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo; former senator for FCT, Philip Aduda; and the member representing the Abuja Municipal Area Council/Bwari Federal Constituency of FCT, Joshua Chinedu Obika, among other stakeholders.

The APC North Central Chairman said, unlike what happened in the 2023 general election, Tinubu’s and other candidates’ chances in the 2027 polls were brighter.

He said the meeting dwelt on the unity of the party in the nation’s capital, adding that the APC gives equal opportunities to both old and new members.

“The FCT APC has come to stand in full force. You can see the grassroots politicians in the meeting. That tells you that the chances of Mr President are even brighter this time around and in all other elections.

“Based on the comments of all the participants of the meeting, I have confidence that the sky is our limit. We have agreed; we have reconciled, and that is to tell you that we are ready for action.

“I assure you, we have come together, we have closed ranks, we have gone back to the drawing board to ensure that APC wins every election in the FCT.

“In fact, one of the key areas we dwelt on is unity; we agreed to fall back to the various wards and area councils to ensure that we bring all the stakeholders on board.

“In fact, the issue of discrimination is not in the APC. We have given them a target; we have given them guidelines to fall back on and ensure that all stakeholders in the various area councils and wards participate in the process,” Rijau added.

Also speaking, the minister for special duties said the APC stakeholders in the FCT have resolved to work together for the re-election of President Tinubu and the victory of the party’s candidates in next year’s general election.

“We want to move forward so that we can have the 2027 election smoothly and deliver our president, deliver our senators and the House of Representatives. That is the essence of this meeting.

“I believe all the party leadership from the ward, local government and the state will all agree to deliver our president. That is the plan of this country. So let me assure the residents of FCT and even Nigerians that we will deliver our president,” Jisqlo stated.

He further stressed that, going by the APC’s constitution and guidelines, both old and new members have equal stakes in the affairs of the party.

“Even if you join the party today, you will be treated like those who have joined five or ten years ago. So the party is inclusive, and that is the essence of this meeting.

“Everybody is included and going to be given all sorts of responsibilities and inclusiveness to make sure we carry ourselves along,” he added.
