A major operational shift was also announced: Tactical squads will be consolidated under the newly sharpened Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU)—designed for swift, coordinated action against violent crimes.

CP Sanusi urged residents of Abuja to partner with the police by cooperating with security agencies, avoiding provocation stunts intended for social media videos, and reporting suspicious activities promptly to help preserve the peace.

The FCT Police Command concluded by reaffirming its commitment to proactive, people-focused policing—building a safer and stronger shield for the nation’s capital.
