Hon. Idris Isah Ahmed Yuguda, the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) candidate for the Federal House of Representatives seat for Bauchi Local Government Area, led a large delegation on Saturday on a round of condolence, solidarity, and political visits throughout the council area and its environs, culminating in the inauguration of ten party offices.

The delegation, which included party leaders, experienced politicians, women, and men, drew supporters and well-wishers from throughout Bauchi, including prominent members of the Zungur, Galambi, and Miri communities.

Condolences in Yamrat. The team’s first stop was to pay condolences to the Yamrat community following the death of Hakimin Kasar Yamrat in Luda, the seat of the Yamrat District Administration.

Yuguda mourned the death of the traditional ruler, whom he described as a wise elder. He prayed for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, and he requested eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

The delegation then travelled to Liman Katagum to witness the devastation caused by severe flooding and soil erosion, which have left residents in extremely difficult living conditions, proving support for the flood victims.

After inspecting the affected areas and commiserating with residents, Yuguda donated financial and material assistance to the victims, describing it as a goodwill gesture intended to alleviate some of the hardship caused by the disaster. Elders and stakeholders should be approached with courtesy.

The delegation also addressed community elders and associates of Dr. Malam Isa Yuguda, the Matawallen Bauchi, both within and outside the Bauchi Local Government Area.

The visits, according to the candidate’s camp, allowed Yuguda to strengthen friendship, consultation, and mutual respect with traditional leaders, elders, and other stakeholders.

The PRP candidate established party offices in multiple wards and communities throughout the local government area. At least ten offices were opened during the tour.

Party supporters said the move reflects his commitment to strengthening the PRP’s grassroots structure, encouraging greater political participation, and maintaining close contact with community members. The day concluded with a round of courtesy and friendship visits to individuals and communities.
