Ondo Rainbow Coalition Mobilises for Tinubu’s Re-Election, Constitutes Steering Committee

The Ondo State Rainbow Coalition has constituted its state steering committee and 18 Local Government Area (LGA) coordinators to drive grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

The coalition’s state chairman, Abayomi Adesanya, said this in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Akure.

Adesanya said the committee’s constitution followed extensive consultations with stakeholders across the state’s three senatorial districts and subsequent approval by the national leadership.

He explained that the coalition was a multi-party movement comprising progressives from various political platforms united to secure grassroots support for the president.

“The movement is committed to rallying cross-party support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, alongside the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Ondo South, Hon. Matthew Oyerinmade.

“The Rainbow Coalition is a pan-Ondo, multi-party movement united by the desire for good governance, peace, inclusiveness, national development, and continuity.

“The steering committee is the highest policy-making organ of the coalition in the state, while the LGA coordinators are to immediately inaugurate ward coordinators and unit canvassers in their respective local governments to deliver on this mandate.

“I congratulate all appointees and charge them to work with unity, tolerance, and love for Ondo State.

“The Rainbow Coalition is not a political party but a convergence of patriots from all parties working for President Tinubu’s success and a better state.

“The date for the official inauguration of the executives and the general stakeholders’ meeting will be announced soon,” he said.

It was reported that the committee has Abayomi Adesanya of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as state chairman, and Hon. Alex Adeniyi (IPAC Chairman) as state secretary.

Senatorial coordinators include Hon. Bamidele Ojo of the PDP for the North, Prof. Foluso Oguntuase of the National Democratic Party (NDP) for the Central, and Hon. Festus Dabo (APC) for the South.
