The sting operation, carried out by the Tactical Teams of the Command, according to the Commissioner of Police, CP Adebowale Lawal, was part of a sustained effort to track down the assailants responsible for the murder of late Supol James Ogunleye and to recover his missing service rifle.
The suspects were identified as Friday Monday, Ashimi Wahab, James Odina, Ibrahim Idris, and Prince Areeh, while a single-barrel gun loaded with a live cartridge was reportedly recovered from them.
