A serving Federal Commissioner representing Rivers State in the National Population Commission (NPC) of Nigeria, Prof. Itotenaan Ogiri, has stated that the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State will deliver President Bola Tinubu for second term in the Presidential election slated for January 16, 2027.
Prof. Ogiri, also stated that Tinubu will emerge victorious during the election despite having opposition.Prof Ogiri, a key ally of FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, stated this while performing the foundation laying for the construction of the Hon. Udi Odum ICT/CBT Centre Ayama, Abua Central, at the weekend, a project is being executed by the Abua/Odual Local Government Council in partnership with the member representing Abua/Odual at the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. John Iderima.
He appealed to the Leadership of the Ogbo Abuan clan to work with the political leadership of the state led by Wike in order to attract more development to the area.He said: “Politics is about dragging things to your people because it’s a contest. Everybody is contesting.
Today John Dominik Iderima is bringing projects to the seven clans in Abua/Odual. We must give him the support, we must give the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu the support. And let me announce to all of us here, Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027.“Forget about all those who are contesting with him. Of course it is politics, people must come out and that is why it is called election. But Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027 and by the Special grace of God our Leader, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike will still be the strong man of Nigerian politics under Tinubu.”
Prof Ogiri, who is also a member of the Rivers State Reconciliation Committee led by Senator Magnus Abbe, and former Cabinet member of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, stated that the Rainbow Coalition formed by the FCT Minister is geared towards delivering Tinubu during the 2027 election in Rivers State.
“He (Wike) has formed a coalition known as the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State which he is the Leader and right now other states are planning to coalesce into the Rainbow Coalition to work with Tinubu in 2027,” Prof Ogiri stated.
He therefore called for massive support from the people of Abua/Odual to the FCT Minister so as to deliver on the mandate. “So speak to your people, speak to your wives, children, sons, daughters. Don’t stay back, dong hold back, bring the people to vote massively.“We are talking about numbers, Abua/Odual will want to be among the Top Three in Rivers State that will deliver Tinubu and all our candidates in 2027,” he stated.
Prof Ogiri noted that the Rainbow Coalition has also brought unity to the Abua/Odual political space. “In the past we will draw a line and say we will see what we will do in the election but today we are together,” he stated.He thanked the initiators of the project, Hon.
Engr Owolobi Micheal Ofori & Hon. Dominik for focusing on people-oriented projects.Other projects flagged by the Assembly member across the constituency included: Construction of Police Post at Emelego, Completion of JTF Base at Okolomade Construction of a generator house, procurement and installation of 200KVA generator for Anyu Community, Renovation of Community Secondary School, Otapha, Reconstruction and Furnishing of State School, Iyak Okpeden, Reconstruction and Furnishing of State School Owerewere, Emughan and distribution of Cars & other Empowerment items at Ayama Abua Central
