APC Recieves ADC Decampees, Pledging Support To Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress, (APC), on Monday recieved decamped House of Assembly aspirants, contesting under the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) in Jigawa, Plateau, Taraba and Zamfara States who defected to the ruling party.

The defectors, led by Princess Aslam Aliyu, (Gimbiyar Kauran Namoda), and Mohammed Hassan of Zamfara State, said they were joining the APC to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and its agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking on behalf the team, Hassan said we are not here merely to change the political platform, but to begin a new chapter of service and a great contribution to our people by supporting Baba Tinubu to a Renewable Agenda.

“We respectfully ask the National Chairmanship and the entire leaders to receive us as brothers and partners, give us the opportunity to contribute and support us as we take this new message back to our people.

“Our commitment remains clear, to support the party, mobilise our people, promote development and services to Nigeria with sincerity and dedication.”

I thank you for welcoming us. We have come to work, we have come to contribute,” he said.

while receiving the team, the APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Goshwen Yilwatda stated his joy, recieving young people that are already coming to do buy-in with the government the party is providing at the national level.

“Thank you so much for believing our party. I am happy that you have joined us in this progressive movement for 2027 and beyond.

“Today we are receiving some of the candidates of the ADC for the House of Assembly in various states. I am happy that we have.”

I am also happy that you have resigned from your party at the ward level and presented the letters to us. And that’s the first step.

The second step is for you to go back to your ward again and registered as members of our party at the ward level, you will become members of the APC for the ward,” he said.

He further noted that the decampees were received, especially because of the significance of your coming as candidates who voluntarily left the contest and withdrew from their ambition; abandoned their ambition for the overall interest of the nation.

“Because of that significance, we opted to receive you at the National Secretariat of the Party, especially, that will tell the world that these are young Nigerians who have their own personal ambition.

But they forfeited their personal ambition for the overall interest of the nation. They will tell you he’s constructing roads in the south and he’s not doing anything in the north.

The road from Abuja to Kano is 400 kilometres. The road from Kano to Maiduguri is 500 kilometres. Two of them alone are 900, almost 1,000 kilometres, so just the road from Abuja heading to Kano that leads back to Maiduguri the one from Abuja to Kano is nearly completed.

“The one from Maiduguri to Kano, almost 50% nearly completed. Those two roads alone, they are over 900, almost 1,000 kilometres.

Apart from the one that goes from Abuja to Lokoja, Abuja to Benue and Abuja to Akwanga, anyone who is coming in would have seen the one from Akwanga to Abuja.

“Prof Yilwatda also said the beneficiaries of the student loan are mostly fromm nthe north, pointing that President Tinubu built Lagos state that accommodated everybody.”

A local government chairman from Kano, a Muslim, was a local government chairman in Lagos. Someone from Anambra state, was Commissioner for Budget in Lagos State.

We have National Assembly members from the north who were members of the National Assembly.

He built an inclusive Lagos that built and accommodated everybody across the country.

“Mr. President has shown that he is a pan-Nigerian leader who accommodates everybody. And all of you will be accommodated,” he added.
