The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has expressed satisfaction with the level of work on the dualisation of the Argungu old bypass road construction project.
The governor made this known on Tuesday while inspecting the ongoing dual-lane projects in Arugungu, Argungu Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Idris recalled that the contract for the dualisation of the township road and installation of streetlights in Arugungu town was awarded on October 18, 2024, as part of the fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people of Kebbi State.
As contained in a statement by Comrade Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi Governor, His Excellency reiterated the determination of his administration to continue delivering more dividends of democracy across the State.
“I must confess that I am satisfied with what I have seen on the ground. I commend the contractor and the Ministry of Works for their effective supervision of the project.
“I also commend the people of Arugungu for their support and cooperation with the contractor, which has ensured the smooth execution of the project,” the governor said.
Governor Idris, therefore, urged the good people of Kebbi State to sustain their support and cooperation with his administration to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
In his response, the Hon. Commissioner of Works, Hon. Abdullahi Umar Farouk Muslim, thanked the governor for providing the ministry with the necessary support and cooperation to ensure the delivery of quality projects.
“Your Excellency, we assure you that, In-Sha-Allah, we will deliver a quality job and ensure that the project meets the contract specification and stipulated timeframe,” he said.
