The acting director general of Prof. Sebastian Tar Hon SAN’s gubernatorial campaign, Chief Ngutor Anyam PhD—who also chairs the Benue Rescue and Rebuild Mission—has urged Benue State residents to register en masse as APC members, saying this will enable their participation in the party’s upcoming Ward Congresses.
Chief Anyam made the call on Sunday while addressing journalists in Abuja.
He emphasised that Prof. Hon, upon inauguration as Benue’s Executive Governor on May 29, 2027, will end insecurity and economic hardship, fostering an environment for massive agricultural production and job creation.
The Benue Rescue and Rebuild Mission envisions a secure, united, highly educated 21st-century state powered by smart mechanised agriculture. It aims to become a prime tourist and investment hub, a net employer of labour, and a leader in poverty eradication.
Lamenting the current administration’s culture of deceit, capital flight, and lack of inclusiveness, Chief Anyam affirmed that Benue’s electorates are determined to oust the Alia government in the forthcoming general elections.
The Acting DG reiterated that participatory governance starts with involvement in all steps toward quality leadership, as exemplified by Prof. Sebastian Tar Hon SAN’s credible candidacy.
He thanked Benue residents across political divides for what he described as their overwhelming support of the mission, particularly noting the People’s Democratic Party’s partnership to elect Prof. Hon as the state’s next governor.
