A Chinese company known as China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) has vowed to boost Nigeria and China’s bilateral relations by promoting the nation’s traditions, customs and religious affairs.
This is because the company organised a free haircut event for its Chinese and Nigerian employees.
The Chinese project manager, Jin Haibing, said the free haircut event marked the conclusion of the traditional Chinese lunar festival known as the “dragon head raising day” and also the “Eid” celebration in Nigeria.
Haibing, in a statement signed and issued to newsmen shortly after the event, reiterated the commitment of the China Communication Construction Company geared towards promoting Nigeria’s and China’s bilateral relationships.
According to him, this is to promote traditional culture and customs and also to respect local religions and cultures and care for the well-being of both Chinese and Nigerian staff.
“The company also fully respects Nigeria’s local religious beliefs and traditions through practical and heartwarming initiatives.
“The event was held in an orderly atmosphere. The barbers demonstrated professional skills and provided haircuts tailored to the different preferences of Chinese and Nigerian employees.
“For Chinese employees, having haircuts on the ‘dragon head raising day’ symbolises a fresh start and good future for the year ahead, as well as wishes for the smooth progress of their projects.
“The China Communication Construction Company will continue to strengthen employees’ care and cultural exchange.” He concluded.
The organisation further vowed to provide support to both Chinese and international builders while advancing project construction with renewed energy.
“We are committed to contributing to the friendship and cooperation between China, Nigeria and Africa,” he stressed.
