The program, held under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and promoting grassroots development, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Beneficiaries of the initiative included widows, widowers, parents who received school-fee support for their children, and youths empowered with various tools and materials to enhance economic self-reliance.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Afolabi highlighted several community development projects executed during her tenure.
These include the construction of borehole water projects, financial support of ₦20,000 each to 100 residents of the community, solar light installations, healthcare interventions, and other welfare programs aimed at improving the standard of living in Oki/Alaguntan.
The councillor also acknowledged the support and guidance of party and government leaders at various levels.
She expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Governor, the Alimosho APC leadership, and the Chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, as well as her fellow councillors, noting that their continuous support and cooperation have contributed significantly to the successful execution of projects and programs within the ward.
According to her, responsive leadership, collaboration, and community-driven initiatives remain key to achieving sustainable grassroots development.
The program featured an interactive session where residents engaged with the councillor, who reassured them of her unwavering commitment to the welfare, growth, and development of the Oki/Alaguntan community.
